Farewell to More Friends

Farewell to More Friends
This past weekend Dawn and I went to Bucharest to participate in a gathering for another “good-bye” for friends and colleagues. These are not easy to sit through sometimes because we know that it is yet another reminder of the constant change that has become part of our lives and the lives of our fellow laborers in Christ. On this occasion we honored Bob & Margie Craig  and Frank & Diane Camarotti. We gathered with nearly all of our fellow regional missionaries to meet and say our farewells. We ate a meal together and tried to say an encouraging word when we had the opportunity...

Remembering 9/11

Remembering 9/11
Today, we as Americans, reflect on a tragic event in the history of our country. I remember being on the phone with my friend and pastor, Dale Denning, and seeing the second plane slam into the other tower and the fireball which resulted. It was a surreal moment in time and to think that I witnessed this live on my television. Then shortly thereafter, seeing the towers fall to the ground. It was hard to believe. The result of those attacks  have forever changed our world and thousands upon thousands of lives have been lost due to the evil acts committed by a few men. Those men were blinded by Satan...

Pray for Our Visit to Prague

Pray for Our Visit to Prague
The picture is of a sign which is proudly displayed in front of the mayor’s office here in Braila, Romania. It is similar to other signs which try to establish an event or landmark. This one highlights Romania’s acceptance into the EU. However, on the listing of destinations… Prague is listed. Prague is in the Czech Republic and we are going to visit there soon. It is for this reason that I am writing this article… to ask you to pray for this trip. Dawn and I are going to visit with colleagues to discuss our future involvement with the team which develops strategy training for...

Family of Friends

Family of Friends
Take a good look at the picture which accompanies this posting. You will see a sweet family of friends who we met a few months ago at our company training center in Virginia. The husband, Rich, is a hoot and a great guy and dedicated Christian worker. His sweet wife Lisa is always an encourager and that sets her above the “typical” in our world today. Their two older children are simply precious and in my mind’s eye I still can see their little smiles in the mornings when we would all gather and have breakfasts at the training center. It is a custom in our “order”...

The 5th of July

The 5th of July
The other day, we gathered in Bucharest with most of our colleagues from around the country to meet and greet two new families to the field. The Tuns will be working with Roma Ministries and the Foremans will be working with Team Bucharest. I have known Cornel Tuns for some time now and together with his wife Erica, they blessed us back in Tennessee a few months ago by attending a commissioning service at our home church before we left the states.  We also had the opportunity to meet the Foreman family who are a big group! They have four kids. I know that they will be a blessing to us and we need to...
