The other day while I was out working with Mihai, he started telling me about a unique ministry that he does occasionally. It is a ministry to deaf people on the streets. This is an intriguing thought to me because I never considered that sign language would be different for different languages. You have one set for English and another set of signs for Romanian. I always thought that there was a universal set of signs and maybe there are some symbols which transcend borders.
Anyway, Mihai told me that at one point in an area that he worked in he was witnessing to a group of 6 deaf people on the street. How cool is that? My goodness, most believers that I know struggle with simply talking to their friends and family about Christ but to learn sign language and share the Gospel with the deaf… well, that is truly unique and a facet of Acts1:8 which I am sure gets overlooked quite often. Mihai, my young brother… keep up the good work. The Father in heaven takes notice of all of the things we do to share the Good News about His Son… amen. In case you are wondering, that is my wife Dawn in the picture, she is NOT deaf but I thought it was a good picture of Mihai, so I use it in the post 🙂
